Community

Eurasia Automotive is committed to fulfilling it’s role as a responsible citizen and believes in giving something back to the communities in which it operates, with a particular focus on the motorsport community that so many of our customers are actively involved in.

Our involvement typically goes beyond chequebook charity. Eurasia employees have for many years volunteered as members of the Board of Directors of the Porsche Club of America’s Polar Region, the Northern Alberta BMW Club, and the Alberta Advanced Driving School. Our employees are active in motorsport — particularly the Porsche Club autocrosses and BWM club driver education events. And we provide operational support, funding and hosting for a variety of local events.

For example, in 2006 we provided a Porsche 924S to be used for the Eurasia Cup Autocross Challenge which raised funds for the Edmonton Garrison Military Family Resource Centre. From 2007 onward, we have sponsored the Canadian Paraplegic Association’s Red Carpet Affair and have provided operational support to the Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion annual Edmonton run. From 2009 onward we have been sponsoring the Northern Alberta Sports Car Club’s Eurasia Cup GT Invitational Race which runs in conjunction with the Edmonton Indy, also providing a pace car. And in 2010, we partnered with Northlands to host the Honda Indy Edmonton Driving Experience which provided local motorsport enthusiasts the opportunity to drive their own sports cars on the temporary airport Indy track … which we beleive is the first event of its kind to be held in conjunction with an Indy race.

We are proud not only to reflect on our involvement in the community, but also to realize that many of the people we have become involved with have also become our good friends.
